We have worked with Cook & Cook for many years now on a variety of commercial and residential projects. They provide measured surveys, existing plans, feasibility designs, planning drawings and quantity surveying services for our clients. A recent project completed was the architectural design of a new 30,000 sq ft warehouse and then preparation of a budget of construction costs for the client. They respond promptly to our queries and approach matters with enthusiasm. Their work has always been undertaken within our timescales and to an excellent standard.

Clare College
I have worked with Cook & Cook on a number of historic building projects, both as Bursar of Clare College. They provided architectural, quantity surveying and project management services to assist with the refurbishment of properties that were either listed or within a conservation area. For all projects planning permission was obtained, working drawings prepared and budgets provided to sympathetically update and improve the buildings. The project management service provided access to an excellent team of sub-contractors and specialist merchants. The quality of work undertaken was outstanding and performed within our timescales.

Following acquisition of the old Brookfields Hospital site just off Mill Road in Cambridge, we instructed Jeremy from Cook & Cook to assist us with consultancy and contract administration. Jeremy provided a very engaging and close personal service from initial engagement, including friendly and valued advice on costings and appraisals, regular presence and hands-on approach during site meetings, through to post completion support with both the contractor and our own clients. Jeremy was extremely professional and ethical, employing a firm but fair approach, all of which meshed well with our own MO and company ethos. On a personal note I also very much enjoyed the experience, we had a lot of fun and I hope I get the opportunity to work with Jeremy again in the future.

Church View, Conington
We appointed Cook & Cook to develop a concept design for our new home in Conington. After assisting with the planning process, including amendments to the design of the house and garage, a set of detailed working drawings were commissioned. Working alongside the engineer and specialist suppliers, a comprehensive set of plans, schedule of works and specification were prepared by Adrian. We then engaged the quantity surveying services of Jeremy to assist with the tender phase before works soon followed on the build itself. Together, Adrian and Jeremy have helped us build a wonderful home whilst carefully managing all of the challenging aspects that come with undertaking a self-build project.
