This starts with detailed planning in the form of a budget estimate and/or cost appraisal, often working alongside the appointed design team to value engineer a project for the best results.
When it’s time to execute site works, the QS will select the appropriate contractor and sure the contract is robust for all parties involved. The successful administration of a contract will deliver a project on time and within budget. Furthermore, it will manage the relationship between client and contractor beyond project completion and often help establish repeat business between parties.
